Sexual Occupation, Bisexual ----------------------------------------------------------------- Personality, Apolo is a very warm individual, maybe even foolishly so. There is an inner calm to his personality, that allows people to gravitate towards him without the worry of being judged. Maybe it's just a natural charisma, or maybe its his ever-present smile, but whatever it is his parents had done a good job of naming him after the Greek God of the Sun. Like his father, Apolo is a total grease monkey. He enjoys tinkering with anything mechanical, and has a natural curiosity for figuring out how things work and run. Because of this natural curiosity, Apolo is very observant--even as a child. His perceptiveness has allowed him to know people, and habits, and how the world words from a very early age. He sees society as a well-oiled machine, which occasionally has a few kinks in its gears--like the war that had currently broke out. Apolo is someone who jokes, someone who is good at making light of the situation, without being too spastic about everything, and someone who is easily approachable. He tends to put others before himself, but all that glitters is not gold. Meaning, Apolo is not as great as he sounds. He has a real lazy streak inside him, and rarely shows up to anything on time. Apolo does things on his own time, and tends to forget himself in the present situation. He is the type to procrastinate, and "goes with the flow" of things. Needless to say, its hard to coordinate a meeting with him, because it is never a sure thing he'd arrive on time, or even close to the agreed time. Despite his seemingly endless amount of patience of focus, Apolo does have a bit of fight in him. He grew up in a working class family, and constantly needed to stand up for himself, or else he'd get lost in the undertow of a dog-eat-dog world. Apolo has a very deep sense of self, and in this he is very stubborn when it comes to things he really wants. His temperament also isn't a pushover. If seriously angered, Apolo does have a bite that's worse than his bark. In fact, he's more inclined to lash out and talk with his fists, which is something people don't expect from his usual laid-back demeanor. Maybe he's got a bit of an anger management issue? History, Apolo was born on the Pullivoir space colony, and constantly moved between the two as a child. He is one of many children who has never set foot on Earth, who has never seen a sunset over the horizon, or a sunrise over an ocean, but none of that seemed to ever bother him. Apolo's father was part of a mechanics guild, developed to fix all the things that went wrong on the space stations--everything from a broken airlock to a interstellar shuttle. Apolo's mother was never really in the picture, she left not long after the boy turned 4, for reasons that Apolo's father does not wish to discuss. Cass, Apolo's father, was a hard-working man, who did what he loved for a living, even though the pay was not the best. He worked long hours, just so he could support his young son, so Apolo did a lot of growing up on his own. He grew up in a lot of cheap housing areas, built specifically for colony staff, like Cass, and although crime was not as high as it was on Earth, it still existed. There was a fine line between the haves and the have-nots, and underneath the swanky surface of these multi-trillion dollar space colonies is the working class war for survival. Apolo inherited his father's love for mechanics, and even applied to be an engineer like him, but this caused tempers to rise between father and son. Cass wanted his son to be more than a mechanic, to go to school, and get a higher paying job so he could move out of the staff housing. Talents, Apolo has a love for everything mechanized. Usually, he says that if it's got an engine he can make it go, and if it's got a gear he can make it work. One of his favorite past times is tinkering with circuits and transports. He's even quite efficient at fixing old, analog clocks. Aside from being a complete motor head, Apolo has a love for space--being born in it--he can look out into the stars for hours and has even studied a bit of astrology. He finds looking at the stars a very calming experience. He can't cook to save his life, but he can make a mean cup of coffee. He likes working with his hands, and getting dirty, and can't stand being stuck in one place for too long. Unless it's his workstation, of course. Apolo likes loud music, especially when he's working, and it puts him into a state of trance where he simply forgets the rest of the world. The young man has developed a dislike for his father, and anyone who tells him what to do. Apolo is also quite the lightning bug, he works with wires and bulbs, and is quite the electrician--but that's expected.
